That Anna Renault is alive is a wonder. Overcoming several bouts with cancer, as well as other significant traumas, she kept a steadfast faith in God, whom she credits with giving her strength to go on in spite of so many misfortunes. Armed with faith and humor, Anna has escaped death over and over.
Now at sixty-seven, Anna is in treatment for metastatic breast cancer. She hopes a breakthrough cure for cancer will happen in her lifetime and counts her blessings for every day. Anna uses her love of writing to spread the word about how others can be not only survivors, but thrivers.
Anna’s story of resiliency and the power of positive thinking is one of ten accounts in my upcoming book, (Extra)Ordinary: More Inspirational Stories of Everyday People, which will be released on October 10, 2017. To read Anna’s story, pre-order your paperback or ebook copy at http://kicamprojects.com/shop/extraordinary-more/.
A first-generation American of Jamaican descent, Phillip A. Singleton found himself unemployed two weeks before his semester finals in November 2008 when his employer downsized. In need of money, Phillip left college. For a period of time, he was homeless, living out of his car or sleeping on friends’ floors.
Through determination and a fortuitous job offer from a witness who had seen Phillip’s work ethic in action, Phillip landed an unpaid internship in the Florida House of Representatives, which changed the course of Phillip’s life. He flourished in the political arena, becoming the youngest African-American lobbyist in Florida’s history.
Phillip had found his calling: to be the voice for minorities and other underrepresented groups in government issues.
Phillip’s noteworthy tale of durability is one of ten stories in my upcoming book, (Extra)Ordinary: More Inspirational Stories of Everyday People, which will be released on October 10, 2017. Instead of hiding in shame, Stacey Greene dealt with her husband’s infidelity by writing a book, Stronger Than Broken—One couple’s decision to move through an affair. She felt sharing her very personal story would be helpful for others facing the same all-too-common situation, a courageous act about a topic many do their best to hide.
Stacey doesn’t sugarcoat the episode, nor the challenging road to repair a marriage after a spouse is unfaithful. Pouring her heart out for the book was therapeutic for Stacey, and she hopes her honesty will assist others put in similar circumstances. Stronger Than Broken deals with infidelity and the resulting emotions, but it is also about forgiveness, healing, and love.
Stacey’s brave story of rising above infidelity is one of ten accounts in my upcoming book, (Extra)Ordinary: More Inspirational Stories of Everyday People, which will be released on October 10, 2017. To read Stacey’s story, pre-order your paperback or ebook copy at http://kicamprojects.com/shop/extraordinary-more/.
